My space

Having set up 'camp' with my crafty bits and pieces in several areas of the house, my husband despaired and now I have a 'space' of my own in which to house all my treasures - its like  'Narnia'  and its where I can create and just 'be' .

Collected items of colour, texture and fascination - what do I do with it all? Dressmaking, quilting, wedding headdresses, corsage work, make notes, listen to music, collect memorabilia, delightful illustrative books by lovely people like Mandy Shaw - Stitch with love - if you haven't read it, you must.

Books of flower arrangements and helpful hints by Jane Packer, Paula Pryke, Antonia Swinson, Sally Page, Kip Dodds, Marcia Hurst and Mark Welford and Stephen Wicks, Kirstie Allsopp - Homemade, Isabelle Palmer - to name but a few!

Another lovely book is At Home with white by Atlanta Bartlett - I think its obvious why it appealed to me so.

There is a lovely mannequin behind all those adornments!

Bangles and beads

Ribbons, silk and lace
